What is provided, and do we need to provide anything?
We bring all tools, safety gear, materials and timber, and cleaning supplies. On-site preparation instructions are super simple–we just need a mat space for our group learning activity, and some cleared tables for our groups of 4s to do their toy building!
What can we expect in an incursion?
The session includes a brief discussion on sustainability, construction, basic woodworking tools, and safety gear, followed by a hands-on wooden toy building activity in small groups.
How long does the incursion run for?
Woodworking incursions typically run for about 90 minutes—longer sessions can be arranged for larger class sizes.
How do you handle special needs or specific school requirements?
Tom is experienced in inclusive education and adapts every session—tools, pacing, group size, and instructions—to suit all learning abilities. We believe hands-on woodworking benefits every child and work closely with you to ensure everyone can participate and thrive.
What projects are available for the kids to build?
Choose one class-wide build from our three engaging projects:
• Car
• Robot
• Animal
Your selected project is confirmed during booking, and every child in the session will create the same item.
We're always working on adding more projects - rocketship, we're coming!

Has Tom completed the necessary safety checks?
Yes. Tom holds a current Employee Working with Children Check (WWCC) and follows strict safety protocols with up-to-date first aid certification and full public liability insurance. He also stays updated on best practices to ensure every workshop is safe and worry-free.
What is your cancellation or rescheduling policy?
Cancel or reschedule up to 14 days before your session at no charge.
Cancellations or changes within 7 days incur a 50% fee—this helps cover Tom’s time sourcing, cutting, and preparing all the timber, tools, and materials that are done well in advance for your class.
